It was full on cutting out of teddy bears of all descriptions and I believe good use was being made of a chenille bedspread that had come all the way from NZ. Luckily it was a beautiful day and good use was made of the verandah as it was a little crowded inside. Look forward to seeing the finished bears next meeting.
Just before our lunch break we were entertained by a choir that was billetted at our centre. The seniors that come to "Day Care" at the centre thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful voices.
The hexagon packs we made are going to be put to good use afterall. It was decided that we will stitch a few ourselves at each meeting, it certainly will save wondering what hand sewing to take along. The finished quilts will be given to a local women's shelter.
It is amazing how the ladies that lead the busiest lives can also be the most productive. Here is Bronnie's latest charity quilt - now I know I have some blocks I started ... somewhere!

Now don't be deceived, I know these 3 girls (Dorothy, Dianne and Laurel) look so refined and demure but sometimes the cheeky and noisy laughter coming from them brings all stitching to a complete stop.

And another quilt from the productive Noeline, six of us are working from this Christmas pattern and they all looked completely different. By changing just one little thing it changes the look entirely and each person now has their own individual creation.

There are all sorts of things you can learn at Quilting and today, thanks to Cathy I learnt how to reduce the size of jpegs making it so much quicker to upload photos to the blog. Thanks.
